Sexpression Aberdeen is a branch of Sexpression:UK is a near-peer independent UK charity with the goal of empowering young people to make decisions about relationships and sex by running informal and comprehensive RSE in the community.
In November 2000, University College London held an ‘exploratory’ sex education workshop for medical students. This led to the original idea of Sexpression:UK and the formation of a committee along with a branch in Edinburgh. Since then Sexpression:UK has grown to more than twenty branches in universities across country in the United Kingdom, including one right here in the Granite City, where we have been empowering eduction since 2011!
Sexpression:UK aims for a society in which young people are able to access reliable information about relationships, sex and sexuality; where youth are free from STIs, and unwanted pregnancy; and where they are empowered to make individual, informed decisions regarding their bodies and their health. Our values are being near-peer, empowering, informal, and comprehensive. You can find further details under about us!
As an independent charity we rely heavily on the donations and fundraising efforts of our team and volunteers. Your contributions will allow us to continue our work of championing better sex and relationship education in schools and communities across Aberdeen.
